Maya’s Mates is a support group for a little girl called Maya.  Maya is a 6 year old girl who has Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome, together with other disabilities & medical conditions. Maya is currently supported through The Developing Foundation, who are a registered charity in Brisbane supporting families with children or adults who have suffered either a congenital (at or near birth) or a traumatic brain injury.  The diagnoses of a brain injury may include autism, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorder, etc.

The foundation supports families to fundraise under the banner of the Developing Foundation and 90% of the funds raised are managed in trust by the organisation for Maya’s medical and disability needs. 

Jack High Bowls Shop is a keen supporter of Maya’s Mates and The Developing Foundation and from time to time will conduct fundraisers on behalf of Maya, her family and The Developing Foundation.
